    1. Open-angle glaucoma: The most common type of glaucoma, which usually has no warning signs in the early stages. Gradually, patchy blind spots in your side vision may develop. In later stages, difficulty seeing things in your central vision may occur.
    2. Angle-closure glaucoma: A less common type of glaucoma that can cause severe headache, severe eye pain, nausea or vomiting, blurred vision, halos or colored rings around lights, eye redness, and sudden vision loss.
    3. Normal-tension glaucoma: A type of glaucoma that causes optic nerve damage even though the pressure in the eye is not very high.
    4. Childhood glaucoma: A rare type of glaucoma that occurs in infants and young children.
    5. Secondary glaucoma: A type of glaucoma that occurs as a result of another eye condition or injury.

Glaucoma is a group of eye conditions that damage the optic nerve and increase eye pressure. The exact cause of glaucoma is not known, but it is usually related to:
    1. Increased pressure in the eye due to a buildup of fluid that flows throughout the inside of the eye, also known as the aqueous humor. This fluid usually drains through a tissue located at the angle where the iris and cornea meet, called the trabecular meshwork. For reasons that doctors don’t fully understand, this nerve damage is usually related to increased pressure in the eye.
    2. family history of glaucoma

    4. Diabetes mellitus
    5. Burn or chemical injury to the eye
    6. Trauma to the eye
    7. Severe eye infection
    8. Inflammation (uveitis)
    9. Diseases of the retina leading to abnormal vessels on the iris that may cause glaucoma.
    10. Being over 60 years old
    11. Being of African or Hispanic descent
    12. Having high eye pressure,
    13. Having thin corneas,
