– Runny nose
– Nasal congestion
– Red, watery eyes
– Low-grade fever
– Cough
As the disease progresses, the symptoms worsen and may include:
– Accumulation of mucus in the throat
– Uncontrollable coughing
– A high-pitched intake of breath after coughing
– Vomiting due to severe coughing
– Extreme fatigue
Coughing may not be noted in infants, and they may struggle to breathe or even temporarily stop breathing.
