1. When swallowing, sensation as of a foreign body in the throat.
2. Sore throat, as if something were sticking in it, principally in the morning and evening.
3. Pain, as from excoriation and scraping in the throat.
4. Swelling of the tonsils, with difficulty in swallowing (tonsils bluish, much offensive mucus there).
5. Spasmodic contraction of the anterior muscles of the neck after drinking.
6. Putrid sore throat.
