Buerger’s disease is a condition characterized by swelling of small and medium-sized blood vessels and clot formation. There are no specific tests to diagnose Buerger’s disease, but tests are done to rule out other conditions with similar symptoms. Blood tests may be done to rule out conditions such as lupus and blood clotting disorders that can cause similar signs and symptoms. An Allen’s test may be performed to check the blood flow through the arteries to the hands, and an angiogram may be done to check the condition of arteries.
