It is nothing but the tales of the ancient people.” তাদের কাছে যখন আমার আয়াত পাঠ করা হয় তখন তারা বলে, ‘শুনলাম তো, ইচ্ছে করলে এ রকম কথা আমরাও বলতে পারি, এগুলো তো আগে কালের কেচ্ছা কাহিনী ছাড়া আর কিছুই না।’ 8:31وَمَا لَهُمْ أَلَّا يُعَذِّبَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ عَنِ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ وَمَا كَانُوٓا۟ أَوْلِيَآءَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنْ أَوْلِيَآؤُهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ٣٤And what privilege do they have that Allah should not punish them, while they prevent (people) from Al-Masjid-ul-Harām (the Sacred Mosque), even though they are not (competent to be) its custodians? Its (competent) custodians are none but the God-fearing, but most of them do not know. আল্লাহ যে তাদেরকে শাস্তি দিবেন না এ ব্যাপারে ওজর পেশ করার জন্য তাদের কাছে কী আছে যখন তারা (মানুষদেরকে) মাসজিদুল হারাম-এর পথে বাধা দিচ্ছে? তারা তো ওর (প্রকৃত) মুতাওয়াল্লী নয়, মুত্তাকীরা ছাড়া কেউ তার মুতাওয়াল্লী হতে পারে না, কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশ লোক এ সম্পর্কে অবগত নয়। 8:34إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ لِيَصُدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ فَسَيُنفِقُونَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسْرَةًۭ ثُمَّ يُغْلَبُونَ ۗ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ يُحْشَرُونَ ٣٦Surely, those who disbelieve spend their wealth to prevent (people) from the way of Allah. So, they shall spend it, then it will become remorse for them, then they shall be overpowered, and those who disbelieve shall be gathered into Jahannam, যে সব লোক সত্যকে মেনে নিতে অস্বীকার করেছে তারা আল্লাহর পথ হতে (লোকেদেরকে) বাধা দেয়ার জন্য তাদের ধন-সম্পদ ব্যয় করে থাকে, তারা তা ব্যয় করতেই থাকবে, অতঃপর এটাই তাদের দুঃখ ও অনুশোচনার কারণ হবে। পরে তারা পরাজিতও হবে। যারা কুফরী করে তাদেরকে (অবশেষে) জাহান্নামের পানে একত্রিত করা হবে। 8:36وَقَـٰتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّىٰ لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌۭ وَيَكُونَ ٱلدِّينُ كُلُّهُۥ لِلَّهِ ۚ فَإِنِ ٱنتَهَوْا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌۭ ٣٩And fight them until there is no Fitnah (mischief), and total obedience becomes for Allah. So, if they desist, then, Allah is indeed watchful over what they do. তাদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ চালিয়ে যাও যে পর্যন্ত না ফিতনা (কুফর ও শিরক) খতম হয়ে যায় আর দ্বীন পুরোপুরিভাবে আল্লাহর জন্য হয়ে যায়। অতঃপর তারা যদি বিরত হয় তাহলে তারা (ন্যায় বা অন্যায়) যা করে আল্লাহ তার সম্যক দ্রষ্টা। 8:39وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَلَا تَنَـٰزَعُوا۟ فَتَفْشَلُوا۟ وَتَذْهَبَ رِيحُكُمْ ۖ وَٱصْبِرُوٓا۟ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ ٤٦Obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not quarrel with each other, lest you should lose courage, and your prowess should evaporate; and be patient. Surely, Allah is with the patient. আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের আনুগত্য কর, পরস্পরে ঝগড়া বিবাদ করো না, তা করলে তোমরা সাহস হারিয়ে ফেলবে, তোমাদের শক্তি-ক্ষমতা বিলুপ্ত হবে। আর ধৈর্য ধারণ করবে, আল্লাহ ধৈর্যশীলদের সঙ্গে আছেন। 8:46وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِينَ خَرَجُوا۟ مِن دِيَـٰرِهِم بَطَرًۭا وَرِئَآءَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌۭ ٤٧And do not be like those who set forth from their homes waxing proud and showing off to people, preventing (people) from the way of Allah. Allah is All-Encompassing of what they do. তোমরা তাদের মত হয়ো না যারা গর্ব অহঙ্কারসহ লোক দেখানোর জন্য এবং আল্লাহর পথে বাধা দেয়ার জন্য নিজেদের ঘর হতে বের হয়েছিল, তারা যা কিছুই করুক না কেন, আল্লাহ তাদেরকে ঘিরে রেখেছেন। 8:47إِذْ يَقُولُ ٱلْمُنَـٰفِقُونَ وَٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ غَرَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ دِينُهُمْ ۗ وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌۭ ٤٩When the hypocrites and those who have a malady in their hearts said, “The belief of these people has deluded them.” And whoever places his trust in Allah (becomes victorious, because) Allah is Mighty, Wise. স্মরণ কর, মুনাফিক্বরা আর যাদের অন্তরে রোগ আছে তারা বলে, ‘এই লোকগুলোকে তাদের দ্বীন ধোঁকায় ফেলে দিয়েছে’। (কিন্তু আসল ব্যাপার হল) কেউ যদি আল্লাহর উপর ভরসা করে তাহলে আল্লাহ তো প্রবল পরাক্রান্ত, মহাবিজ্ঞানী। 8:49كَدَأْبِ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ ۙ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَوِىٌّۭ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ ٥٢(Their way is) like the way of the people of Pharaoh and of those before them. They rejected the signs of Allah; so Allah seized them for their sins. Surely, Allah is strong, severe in punishment. ফির‘আওনের লোকজন ও তাদের আগের লোকেদের মতই ওরা আল্লাহর নিদর্শনাবলীকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছে, কাজেই তাদের পাপের কারণে আল্লাহ তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করেছেন। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ শক্তিমান, শাস্তিদানে অত্যন্ত কঠোর। 8:52كَدَأْبِ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ ۙ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَـٰهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَغْرَقْنَآ ءَالَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ وَكُلٌّۭ كَانُوا۟ ظَـٰلِمِينَ ٥٤Their practice is like that of the people of Pharaoh and those before them. They rejected the signs of their Lord. So, we destroyed them for their sins and drowned the people of Pharaoh; and all of them were wrongdoers. ফিরআউনের লোকজন ও তাদের আগের লোকেদের মতই তারা তাদের প্রতিপালকের নিদর্শনগুলোকে মিথ্যা জেনেছিল। কাজেই তাদের পাপের কারণে আমি তাদেরকে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছিলাম আর ফিরআউনের লোকজনকে ডুবিয়ে মেরেছিলাম। এরা সবাই ছিল যালিম। 8:54إِنَّ شَرَّ ٱلدَّوَآبِّ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ ٥٥Surely, the worst of all the moving creatures, in the sight of Allah, are those who reject Faith and do not believe যারা কুফরী করে আল্লাহর নিকট তারাই নিকৃষ্টতম জীব, অতঃপর আর তারা ঈমান আনবে না। 8:55وَإِن يُرِيدُوٓا۟ أَن يَخْدَعُوكَ فَإِنَّ حَسْبَكَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَيَّدَكَ بِنَصْرِهِۦ وَبِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٦٢If they intend to deceive you, then, Allah is all-sufficient for you. He is the One who supported you with His help and with the believers, আর তারা যদি তোমাকে ধোঁকা দেয়ার নিয়্যাত করে, সেক্ষেত্রে আল্লাহই তোমার জন্য যথেষ্ট। তিনি তো তাঁর সাহায্য ও মু’মিনদের দ্বারা তোমাকে শক্তিশালী করেছেন। 8:62وَإِن يُرِيدُوا۟ خِيَانَتَكَ فَقَدْ خَانُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مِن قَبْلُ فَأَمْكَنَ مِنْهُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ ٧١And if they intend to commit treachery against you, then, they have already committed treachery against Allah, and in turn Allah has given you full control over them. And Allah is All-Knowing, Wise. আর যদি তারা তোমার সাথে খিয়ানাত করার ইচ্ছে করে (তবে সেটা অসম্ভব কিছু নয়, কারণ এর থেকেও গুরুতর যে) তারা পূর্বে আল্লাহর সাথে খিয়ানাত করেছে, কাজেই আল্লাহ তাদেরকে তোমার অধীন করে দিয়েছেন। আল্লাহ সর্ববিষয়ে বিশেষভাবে অবগত, সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ প্রজ্ঞাবান। 8:71وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍ ۚ إِلَّا تَفْعَلُوهُ تَكُن فِتْنَةٌۭ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَفَسَادٌۭ كَبِيرٌۭ ٧٣And those who disbelieve are friends to each other.
